M. Zassenhaus is a multi-disciplinary artist in Brooklyn, New York.

STATEMENT

As an artist my mediums are water, light, and time. I collaborate with my environment and consider the work a record of a sort of performance. I’m fascinated by questions like:

What’s the signature of a place?

How does the natural environment itself make its specific mark if allowed to do so?

What does a “moment” mean; can it mean as much as 10 hours (or more) in a single frame?

How do we make objects from events?

How do these objects represent the event from which they came?
